Situated on the magical Ring of Hook route, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, these 18th century former barns have been sympathetically converted to retain oodles of character such as original beams and internal stonework, whilst offering every modern comfort for a relaxing stay. Set around a shared central courtyard, each cottage has a private garden or courtyard for those long summer evenings, whilst inside, both The Barn (W32420) and The Forge (W32421) have wood burners for cosy nights in. The Stable (W32419) is perfect for a couple with a huge galleried bedroom featuring a magnificent beamed and vaulted ceiling, setting the scene for a romantic break.

Many glorious sandy beaches can be reached within a 10-minute stroll, and the seaside village of Fethard-on-Sea has traditional pubs, tea shops, 12th century castle, playground and an adventure sports centre offering kayaking and stand-up paddle boarding. A leisurely 25-minute stroll takes you through the village to the pretty harbour, a perfect place to take a picnic and watch the world go by. Touring around this part of Ireland, whether by car, bike or on foot, is an absolute delight and there is so much to explore including Hook Lighthouse, the oldest operational lighthouse in the world, nearby Loftus Hall, reputedly the most haunted house in Ireland and Slade village harbour, with its 15th century Tower House, showing the remains of a salt manufacturing house.

There are spectacular cliff walks from Slade village harbour leading to Hook Lighthouse, where at certain times of the year whales can be spotted for a once in a lifetime experience. For the more adventurous, scuba diving offers visibility up to 40ft off these shores with shattered shipwrecks to explore. Local attractions and activities include Duncannon Fort, Tintern Abbey, JFK homestead, Dunbrody Famine Ship, numerous festivals (Seafood, Kitefest, Sand Sculpturing, Piano), sailing, kite surfing, golf and horse riding to name but a few. Beach ½ mile. Shop, pub and restaurant 300 yards.
These properties can be booked together to accommodate up to 16 guests.

Approximate distance to Cork airport is 175 km.
